"Since its introduction, the Infiniti FX has served as a showcase for Infiniti's leadership in design and performance. Infiniti continues to evolve the FX model standard and optional equipment offerings to become a showcase for Infiniti luxury and attention to customer needs. The Infiniti FX offers Middle East driver additional enhancements making its outstanding performance and design stand out even more from the pack of ordinary crossovers,"
commented Abhijeet Pandit, Infiniti Brand Manager, Nissan Middle East Fze.
Along with the exhilarating sporty performance of the Infiniti FX, entertainment is further enhanced with the Infiniti DVD mobile entertainment system, which comes as a standard in the 2008 Infiniti FX. Rear passengers can enjoy a movie on the road, or play their favorite video game via a 7-inch color monitor that flips down from the overhead center console. Digital-quality audio is available through wireless headphones with a remote control to enhance the luxury experience.
The 2008 Infiniti FX interior also blends the comfort and amenities of a luxury car with an array of high tech driver and passenger features. Leather-appointed seating surfaces with driver seat memory and power lumbar and power tilt/telescope steering wheel are standard, along with Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control air conditioning, 7-inch information display colour monitor, electroluminescent gauges and a three-spoke, leather-wrapped power tilt/telescope steering wheel with illuminated switches for cruise control and audio systems. Other interior amenities include an Infiniti signature analogue clock, driver and passenger one-touch up/down front power windows and power door locks.
Again in 2008, the Infiniti FX exterior blends the substantial lower body of an SUV with the sleek, elegant upper body reminiscent of a sports GT. It features a wide, aggressive stance with a long, sleek hood, sleek roof and a "taut canopy" greenhouse. The distinctive exterior design of Infiniti FX also includes an Infiniti signature grille, standard fog lights, bi-xenon headlights and large, split dual tailpipes with chrome finishers.
At the heart of the Infiniti FX is an award-winning 3.5-litre, DOHC, 24-valve V6 engine with aluminum-alloy block and heads, combined with an electronically controlled 'drive-by-wire' throttle system, producing a muscular 289 horsepower and 37.9 kg/m of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, designed for high torque capacity and light weight, and down shift rev matching is standard.
