Gulf Air in Bahrain has introduced a special 'student fare' to Europe and the Middle East destinations with additional 'excess baggage' allowance of 20 kilos for students travelling to these regions for higher studies.

"Come September, a sizable number of students from Bahrain travel to various countries in the Middle East and Europe to join or return to universities and higher education institutions for their studies," says, Gulf Air Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Mr. Lee Shave.

"What better way there can be than providing a special fare and additional baggage allowance to start off their new academic term," concluded Mr. Shave.

"Students are the assets of this country," says Gulf Air General Manager Sales Bahrain Abdulmalik Al Saei.

"We feel, as the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, it is part of our responsibility to extend our support to this young generation through such incentives. We are also working closely with the Ministry of Education, which is supporting many students in their higher studies."

Students can avail these special fares from now until 31 December 2007 at Gulf Air offices only by showing their student ID card or a letter from the University/ College or Ministry of Education as proof of their admission. Travel should be completed before 31 December 2007.
