Buyers can use the software free for a period of 60 days, after which they can purchase the authentication key from resellers or from the official website. The Microsoft Office 2007 package includes: Microsoft Access 2007, Microsoft Excel 2007, Microsoft Outlook with Business Contact Manager, Microsoft PowerPoint 2007, Microsoft Publisher 2007 and Microsoft Word 2007.

Research from Microsoft shows that 40% of small business PCs that are sold without Microsoft Office pre-installed have had the software installed within 60 days of purchase. Additionally, the research reflects that customers, who bought PCs with Microsoft Office pre-installed, were more satisfied with their purchase.
