Panasonic to outsource mission critical IT infrastructure to eHosting DataFort

Panasonic Marketing Middle East (PMM), the regional headquarters of consumer electronics major Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (MEI) in the Middle East & Africa, announced today the relocation of its mission critical IT infrastructure to eHosting DataFort at Dubai Internet City.

An AED 5 million agreement was signed by Seiji Koyanagi, Managing Director of PMM, and Mohamed Fouz, CEO of eHosting DataFort. PMM will migrate its business critical IT infrastructure to eHosting DataFort who will provide them with a fully outsourced operation and managed service.

Seiji Koyanagi, Managing Director of PMM, said: "We decided to partner with eHosting DataFort because of its experience in providing comprehensive IT outsourcing services to large organisations. It was imperative we chose a partner which has the know-how and necessary infrastructure and expertise to proactively manage our critical business systems on a 24/7 high availability basis. We are confident this agreement will prove beneficial to our business operations in the region."

PMM's Data Centre in eHosting DataFort will be connected to MEI's headquarters in Japan as well as to its regional offices across the Middle East & Africa. PMM's IT environment consists of a Solaris based mySAP ERP and various other Windows based business systems.

PMM will be taking advantage of eHosting DataFort's unique managed services including 24 x 7 pro-active monitoring & management of the infrastructure and active network components, comprehensive Managed Security Services and regular backup & restore services backed by a guaranteed Service Level Agreement offering very high levels of availability.

Mohamed Fouz, CEO of eHosting DataFort, said:
