Professional Project Management Association launched in Dubai

The announcement was made at a project management event held at DKV Conference Hall on September 1. It was sponsored by Dubai Knowledge Village and SUKAD. The event was an occasion for Project Management professionals to share their experience and know-how on the strategic importance of this management discipline.

Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director of Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, said:

"There has been a growing awareness in Dubai and the region about project management as a special skill and competency. We believe project management practices, which lead to strategic competency, are mandatory for companies to succeed and the association can effectively promote professionals in this field."

The event featured presentations from three leading global project management consultants. They were Mounir Ajam, CEO, SUKAD FZ-LLC; Theofanis Giotis, Cofounder and President of Project Management Institute Greece Chapter, Co-Founder and CEO, ITEC Training & ITEC Solutions, a global firm specialising in Information Technology and Project Management Consulting, and Alexander Matthey, VP Marketing & Sponsorship, Project Management Institute Switzerland Chapter, Executive Director, I3M Experts.
