Dubai Real Estate Institute launches first executive education programmes

Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the first specialised real estate institution in the region, today launched its first world class executive education programme on real estate.

Registration starts on September 4, will close on 10 October.

DREI in partnership with the Department of Real Estate and Planning University of Reading, UK, will jointly administer two educational courses - Real Estate as an Investment Asset for Middle Level Management, which will run from 4-8 November, and International Real Estate Investment for senior level management which will run from 7-8 November. Upon completion of the course, participants will be granted certificates of attendance issued by the University of Reading.

Dr. Mohamed Al Shehi, Managing Director, DREI, said: "After nearly a year of hard work and planning, we are excited to start the enrolment for the first set of courses targeting executives and real estate professionals keen on enhancing their skills and advancing their professional careers. These two programmes will provide a unique opportunity for executives and managers to learn and discuss industry challenges and current issues."

DREI is committed to developing the next generation leaders who will shape and guide the direction of real estate business in the future. As the first of its type in the Middle East in terms of content and focus, these programmes will provide participants with the opportunity to learn from senior faculty from Reading's Department of Real Estate and Planning, who possess a wealth of industry experience and an impressive research record. DREI's executive education programmes will be conducted by Professor Colin Lizieri and Professor Andrew Baum, leading academic figures in real estate.

The Real Estate as an Investment Asset programme will highlight the role of real estate as an investment asset and its position in the mixed asset portfolio. In addition it will also focus on the importance of market structures and investment vehicles in determining the risk and return characteristics of real estate. The International Real Estate Investment programme content will focus the international real estate investment process, pricing issues in global markets and methods to develop practical strategies for implementing international investment programmes.

Executive Education Programmes will be held at the DREI campus located at Dubai Health Care City, building 53, 7th floor. The facilities are designed to provide a productive learning environment.

About Dubai Real Estate Institute

As the first specialised real estate academic institution in the region, the Dubai Real Estate Institute aims to enrich and broaden the knowledge and competency base of real estate industry professionals and managers.
