By launching the solutions in the region, Linksys aims to capture a huge share of the growing wireless communications and networking market in the Middle East. This year, Linksys will debut innovative wireless products such as a multimedia storage solution (NAS200) and gigabit wireless-N router (WRT350N).
"GITEX is an important platform for Linksys as a brand. We are steadily expanding in the Middle East and this prestigious exhibition provides us with an opportunity to penetrate our reach in the region. We are able to directly communciate with our customers and investors, in an environment that is ideal for the sharing of ideas and opinions,"
said Mohammad Hoda, Regional Manager, Linksys Middle East and Africa.
With the multimedia storage solution, NAS200, users can store, manage and access their data throughout the home while all content can be stored in one central location that is always available. It is also equipped with a media server that streams music and video files over the network and enables consumers to share digital photos and videos over the Internet.
Linksys is also launching an integrated wireless router, with media storage capabilities that surpass traditional standards. The WRT350N router is enabled with UPnP support, which simplifies the use of multiple networks within the home and corporate environments.
Content can not only be shared on the network but also over the internet. The built-in UPnP MediaServer can be used for streaming digital media over the network to other enabled devices like the Linksys KiSS 1600, without the interference of a computer.
"We have consciously chosen to highlight products that are the result of technological innovation and offer immense versatility. Consumers in the Middle East are increasingly looking for products that can be applied both in the home as well as in the corporate spheres. Linksys is committed to providing consumers with inventive and affordable solutions and we are certain that GITEX is the ideal platform for this strategy," Hoda added.
