"We've chosen a different route of communication with our customers at GITEX this year," commented Bharat Kumar, Business and Marketing Officer, Microsoft Gulf.
"In previous years we have focused on specific product activity, such as the business launch of Vista in 2006 - this year is slightly different. Microsoft is not only continuing its support of its main partners at the show, we have also increased our role and focus at GITEX Shopper significantly by engaging our consumers and offering them the chance to experience exciting new products first hand."
Microsoft is giving its partners the opportunity to steal the show at GITEX as the IT giant has limited its participation to simply supporting partners at their stands, while at GITEX Shopper, the Microsoft Majlis is sure to give visitors quite a show.
"Microsoft is committed to the growth and development of the IT industry in the region," concluded Mr Kumar. "Our partnerships across the region reflect this and our commitment to them is borne out by the increased focus on partners at this year's GITEX. The exhibition places a global spotlight on the industry and we are looking forward to another successful week at the show with our partners and consumers."
KIT, a Microsoft Gold partner is due to showcase some of Microsoft's leading products at their stand, while Intertec, a leading IT solutions provider across the GCC and India, is a Security Management partner of Microsoft Corporation and as such will be exhibiting the Microsoft Forefront family of security products. Similarly SKY electronics, the leading systems integrator and distributor of world-class global technology brands for components in the Middle East & Africa, will be displaying demos of some of Microsoft's enterprise solutions.
