H.E. Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Head of the UAE businessmen delegation accompanied His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The UAE businessmen delegation's visit to Vinaconex Group aimed at learning about the activities, successful achievements and international relations of the Vinaconex group of companies, as well as discussing the potential cooperation with similar UAE groups and companies.
Organizing the visit to Vinaconex Group, as well as the UAE-Vietnam Business Forum by Dubai Chamber, goes in line with its policy and interest in playing its distinguished role in supporting the interests of the UAE local business community and providing them with the opportunity to strengthen their external relations and competitiveness.
'Dubai Chamber was keen to prepare this visit for the UAE businessmen delegation to introduce them to a recognized example of major successful companies in Vietnam and the managerial and economic policies which Vinaconex Group has adopted and helped it achieve success and spread worldwide,' said Al Tayer.
He pointed out that these visits help in strengthening ties between the Vietnamese investors with their UAE counterparts, and open doors to achieve further trade cooperation, establishing economic partnerships and setting up new joint ventures in both countries.
During his tour in the company along with the members of the UAE businessmen delegation, Al Tayer talked about the aspects of the UAE's encouraging business environment which attracted a large number of industrial and trade companies, especially to its diverse free zones. He stressed the UAE's interest in enhancing commercial cooperation with the Vietnamese business community encouraged by the government of both countries.
'The UAE's government is completely committed to extend economic cooperation with Vietnam and enhance bilateral trade, in addition to urging the private sector to play a bigger role in supporting this economic collaboration with the Vietnamese benefiting from the encouraging business climate and the availability of numerous investment opportunities in both countries,' Al Tayer noted.
Vinaconex Group is a multi-functional corporation in Vietnam's construction industry that largely contributes to Vietnam's economy. The group was established in 1988 and its basic business was concentrated on managing and exporting construction labors to several countries such as Bulgaria, Russia, Czech and Iraq. The group runs over 70 affiliated units nationwide with more than 40,000 staff.
Vinaconex Group's business achievements helped in increasing its production, turnover and profits to more than 25%. The main business of the group now focuses on several sectors such as real estate and construction, industrial production and exports and imports. The group has strong foreign trade relations with major companies in more than 60 countries worldwide.

In the official visit to Vietnam, they visited the headquarters of Vinaconex Group, the largest multi-functional corporation in Vietnam's construction industry.
