Dubai Customs distributes school bags for the needy students

In an initiative showing its commitment to the society, a delegation from Dubai Customs visited Al Imam Abi Hanifa Elementary School in Al Qoz, to congratulate its administration and students on the new academic year.
During this visit, Ahmed Dhimish, the Manager of Valuation Agreement and Business Rules Section at Dubai Customs along with Abdullah Bin Delmouk, Manager of the Valuation Database Section and Rashid Bin Lahij, Manager of the Valuation Compliance Section distributed school bags to the needy students.
The Customs delegation was received by the manager of the school, Lami'ah Faraj, who commended the customs initiative calling on all institutions to "follow this approach, which entrenches social solidarity as one of the most prominent values to embrace."
Sixty school-bags were distributed to the needy students.
Commenting on the visit, Aisha Majid Bin Thenia, the Manager of Customs Valuation Department in Dubai Customs said: "This step comes in the context of our continuous support to the community, since the Customs are conscious of their role in protecting the society and supporting the needy people, as part of their social responsibility."
The students showed their joy for receiving these gifts. Ahmad, a student from Grade 1, said that he felt so happy because there are good people looking after him, stressing that he will become the first in his class.
It is worth noting that Dubai Customs have a long history in caring for the students. The Customs library witnesses annually the visit of nearly 20 educational institutions as part of Dubai Customs role in educating students in support for the local community.
