SAP Arabia attributes much of its core success to its focus on winning business in new industries. In February of this year, Saudi Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA), the Middle East's largest and most prestigious public sector organization, adopted SAP's ERP solution. The company's impressive sales are a direct result of its on-the-ground lead generation activities conducted in many of the countries in which the company operates.

Customer specific workshops and seminars focused on educating the large number of SAP solution users also contributed substantially to the success of the company.

Reflecting the company's progress across the region, SAP Arabia opened its Morocco office in Casablanca, clearly asserting its leadership role in North Africa. The company now operates 10 wholly owned SAP Arabia offices operating across the entire Middle East.

SAP's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions have empowered industry giants across the region. Key strategic wins for SAP Arabia in H1 of 2007 include: ACC, Al Oasis and SAGIA in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; DUBAL and DIFC in the United Arab Emirates.

SAP's success in H1 of 2007 is also a direct result of its drive to educate the region. The annual SAP World Tour made stops in Riyadh and Dubai in early May, offering attendees the chance to take part in informative presentations, industry- and IT-specific breakout tracks, and planning sessions that assists users in maximizing SAP products. This year the SAP Tech Tour also visited Khobar to highlight the company's latest offerings for customers in the Kingdom.

Regionally, SAP will participate in GITEX Technology Week, the regions largest IT exhibition, taking place from 8-12 September in Dubai. In the international arena, SAP held its annual SAPPHIRE event in Vienna, where customers joined other executives, business managers, and industry experts to exchange ideas and explore innovative business and technology solutions.

'2007 is set to be our biggest and most impressive sales year in history,' said Essam Enany, president, SAP Arabia. 'We believe that this achievement will come about as a direct result of our commitment to continually invest in the success of the SAP Arabia brand. We are pushing aggressively into new industry sectors, as well as new markets, and we are investing heavily to ensure the success of each endeavor,' added Enany.

SAP is the worldwide market leader in ERP software, according to a comprehensive new study by Gartner, the independent industry analyst group. Established in 1994 in Jeddah and Dubai, SAP Arabia is the sole distributor of SAP products in 19 countries across the Middle East and North Africa. SAP Arabia currently has offices in Jeddah, Dubai, and Cairo dedicated to bringing support services closer to customers and partners across the region.
