This next-generation luxury display device has been designed for home video, audio and entertainment systems, and offers HD 'Hollywood Quality Video' functionality for improved detail, brightness, and image precision.

"Increasingly, consumers in the Middle East want to create a cinematic experience in their own homes - this is a trend fuelled by the region's property boom and ongoing demand for the best possible viewing experience that is both portable and affordable," said Aaron Fright, Regional Director, ViewSonic Middle East and Africa.

"The new Pro8100 offers high definition quality in a sleek form factor that is designed to appeal to the Middle East's movie buffs, sports lovers, and video gamers, as well as restaurants and clubs which screen major sporting and entertainment events for their patrons. The home theatre segment is one of the most dynamic aspects of the region's electronics sector, and projectors such as the Pro8100 offer a portable and convenient alternative to flat screen displays,"

he added.

ViewSonic's Pro8100 offers 1920x1080 (1080P) resolution, and its Hollywood Quality Video features are powered by a Silicon Optrix - Reon VX high performance processor, supporting full 10-bit 4:4:4 digital processing. With HQV, detail levels are enriched for lower resolution video contents (HD Simulation for SD/ED video).

Noise Reduction is an additional component in HQV's product offering. This reduces the irrelevant or noise data from the signal (with the minimal loss of good data) to create improved viewing quality. Black level, a further component of HQV, allows selections to be made to the visual brightness level of the video content's virtual pure black point. The final element of HQV is Cadence Detection, with ViewSonic adding 14 cadence modes in current code.

Among ViewSonic's Pro8100 many product features is ViewColor. Allowing for sophisticated image tuning, ViewColor comprises of flesh tone modification, including edge enhancement, and Gamma Correction. Further, 3D Color Management allows for advanced color management using an isolated color correction system that only affects the selected color.
