Experts have said the entry of new operator du into the UAE's telecommunications sector has had little impact on tariffs and other consumer benefits, reported Gulf News. Wael Ziada of EFG-Hermes said while prices have come down slightly in some areas such as data and Internet services, heavily used segments such as international calling have not changed. A spokesperson from the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority said du's arrival provided 'competition' not 'liberalisation'.
