Russia-UAE trade rising

Alexander Bratiakov, the Commercial Counsel at the Russian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, has said trade between the former Soviet state and the UAE is set to hit record levels this year following a dip in 2006, reported Gulf News. Bratiakov said trade in Q2 reached $340m, and it is hoped the $800m barrier will be breached by the end of 2007. There are now 450 Russian firms operating in the UAE.
