No subprime worry for Mideast

Dubai based investment bank Rasmala has said the Middle East's stock markets have not been badly affected by the US subprime mortgage crisis, reported Gulf News. The markets in Egypt and the UAE have been the worst affected as these have the largest amount of foreign institutional investment but the impact has been limited. Saudi Arabia's bourse made sizeable gains of 9% in August, while Kuwait's bourse also advanced by 1%.
