Since the regional office was launched in Dubai in 2005, the team has grown from a two-man operation to an office of ten, with a few more appointments planned in the coming months.

In the first half of this year, PANDUIT has appointed Michael Jakins as Area Manager for the Electrical and Oil & Gas division. In his role, Jakins is responsible for the management and the implementation of development strategies, plans and activities for the Electrical and Oil & Gas sectors. Jakins has almost ten years extensive sales management experience within the Middle East and North Africa region.

Bassel Al Halabi was recently promoted to Area Manager for the Data Communication Division in the Middle East. Al Halabi has a wealth of experience in the region, having worked for Gulf Business Machines (GBM) for six years prior to joining PANDUIT as an Account Manager in early 2007.

Several Account Managers have also been appointed recently, including Abdul Halim for Abu Dhabi and Faisal Israr for Dubai and Pakistan. They will both be responsible for implementing market strategies and working with plans and activities that support the achievement of corporate and EMEA targets. Halim and Israr join PANDUIT with over 10 years of IT industry experience.

"We are pleased to announce these new additions to the team. Over the last two years, PANDUIT has experienced tremendous growth in the region. The expansion of our existing team reinforces our commitment to the region and we will continue to hire key personnel in order to complement this growth,"

said Pete Gough, Regional Business Manager, PANDUIT Middle East and Pakistan. "Because each market is different in terms of customers and requirements, it is important that we hire dedicated Account Managers to focus on each of our key markets. PANDUIT recognizes this need and as such, we plan to hire local Account Managers for each of our key markets across the region."

PANDUIT operations in the Middle East region focus on supporting enterprise, finance, education, healthcare and governmental sectors with leading edge wiring communications and electrical technology. The company now provides over 50,000 products, technical support as well as the expertise of its global partners, including Cisco Systems, in the field of network, power and cabling infrastructure.

PANDUIT will be present at GITEX in Zabeel Hall, stand number Z S1, in partnership with Al-Mazroui ICAS, one of the company's distributors in the UAE.
