du exhibits USB data card for high-speed mobile broadband at GITEX Technology Week 2007

Unlocking the power of mobile internet, du, the UAE's new telecom operator, has announced that it will soon launch its USB data card for high-speed mobile broadband across the UAE.

The plug-n-play USB data card, that will be available at all du shops across the UAE, can be used for both laptops, and PCs. The device will offer high-speed internet access up to 1.8 Mbps.

The Mobile Broadband Data Card package consists of a USB Data Card, which provides access to the Internet through a single click, Pay-as-you-Go, Monthly Plan or Visitor SIM Card with a choice of attractive data bundles. The easy to use USB Data Card will be pre-configured with du mobile broadband settings and works with any Laptop or PC which has a USB port.

The mobile broadband service is available to all du customers by default without the hassle of subscribing or calling to activate.

Customers on du network can also use video calling and video mail as a new way to stay in touch. Available nationally and internationally (with over 24 operators), it allows callers to see their near and dear ones during a call.

Adding to the convenience, international Video calling that are not answered can be diverted to the customers' video mail service which is exclusive only to du customers and will allow the caller to leave a Videomail message as well. Once available, the user may view the video mail message and choose to return the video call.
