The complete installation also includes advanced conferencing facilities, remote administration capabilities and a multimedia call-centre.
The solution is to be installed by Telematics, a Mitel Gold Solution Provider.
The Grand Hyatt Doha will be opening its doors in 2008, where it will include 268 rooms over five floors, a 1,500 square meter ballroom, private beach, Spa and Health Club and a handful of restaurants and retail shops.
Mitel & Telematics were a natural choice for the hotel developers and project managers involved with the project as Mitel is already being used in the first phase of the Grand Hyatt development project for the hotel villas.
'On the basis of a strong presence, leadership position and excellent reputation enjoyed in the Qatar market, Telematics was awarded the contract for implementation of total IT/ELV solutions for the prestigious Grand Hyatt Doha project. The project consists of system integration of 15 different subsystems of which Mitel's IP Telphony is an important component. This underlines our market credentials in the region, when it comes to high-profile fast-track turnkey projects,' said Praveen Shenoy, Business Development Manager - Telephony, Telematics.
'We are delighted with Telematics' significant market share gained in a short period of time and also with the fact that they have successfully executed many fast-track turnkey projects in Doha. This made them an ideal candidate as implementation partner for this high-profile hospitality project, where Mitel's advanced vertical-specific IP applications were a major part of the success of this highly customer-centric deployment', said Hisham Amili, Mitel GM, GCC.
