Etisalat to paint the town green during GITEX Technology Week
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, September 10 - 2007 at 09:31
- PRESS RELEASE
Etisalat announced it would bring the National Mobile Phone Recycling Campaign to centre stage during GITEX Technology Week.
Etisalat is inviting all delegates and exhibitors to take the opportunity to recycle a phone on the Etisalat stand in the Zabeel Hall throughout GITEX Technology Week. What's more, anyone visiting the stand may spot one of several celebrities scheduled to endorse the campaign.
The National Mobile Phone Recycling Campaign aims to educate consumers about the dangers that old mobile phones present and encourage safe disposal. It was launched in June and is now helping protect the environment from contaminated and harmful toxins found in mobile phones and accessories. The campaign recently passed the 65,000 mark, and is well on its way to achieve the maximum amount of old mobile phones.
Etisalat has a long history of supporting green causes, and was host and sponsor of the Youth Environment Summit held at the Etisalat Academy earlier this year. Etisalat also offers environmentally friendly payment solutions including Mobile Payment, Auto Pay and Balance Transfer Services to reduce the need for scratch cards.
