Dr. Aysha Al Busmait, Director of Marketing & Corporate Hospitality Dep't, at the RTA stated that the exhibition attracted elite personalities and folks of visitors from around the globe. RTA participation is represented in a package of electronic services rendered to clients, including passengers and customers, by all RTA Agencies.
RTA services showcased in this premier international event cover customer support, and services related to traffic, roads, public transport, taxi, rail, marine transport, and other vital services through which RTA is aiming at achieving integration between various modes of transport. This will pave the way for establishing a transport system which is smooth, safe and subject to sustainable development in conformity with the vision of the RTA aiming at achieving "safe & smooth transport for all".
"Through launching various initiatives & services, RTA is seeking to upgrade the level of services offered to the public and enhance links between the RTA on one side, and customers & strategic partners on the other. RTA exhibition stand consists of four systems; each of them represents one of its Agencies i.e. Traffic & Roads, Public Transport, Rail, and Marine Transport" said Dr. Aysha.
She added that RTA prepared and circulated a questionnaire among visitors of its stand in the exhibition to probe the public opinions on services & initiatives launched by the RTA. The questionnaire will also enable the RTA to have instant and smooth feedback from the public. This will undoubtedly contribute to developing, expanding & upgrading the services offered by the RTA to bring them in line with the development and advancement drive witnessed by the emirate of Dubai in all fields.
"The questionnaire is one of the instruments adopted by the RTA in exploring public opinion on Toll Gate System, known as Salik, and the extent of its contribution in easing traffic bottlenecks in a number of vital roads in Dubai," Dr. Aysha said.
It also reveals public perception of the Intelligent Traffic Systems and the new buses launched by Public Transport Authority as part of its Bus Master Plan, consisting of standard buses, articulated buses and double-deck buses. Public opinion is also sought on the Water Bus service recently launched by Marine Agency, as well as a number of aspects related to Dubai Metro Project, such as the applicable fare for metro service when launched, she added.
