The organizers, Haughton International Fairs, are renowned for showcasing many of the world's finest art and antiques, both in New York and London.

The 'Art & Antiques' fairs annually hosted in Europe and America, regularly show rare artifacts of historical significance from a global spectrum of antiques exhibitors.

One of the key antiques to be displayed at the 'Art & Antiques Dubai' fair is a unique centerpiece of historic interest, a Royal Armorial Presentation Chafing Dish and Stand, bearing the personal royal arms of Frederick-Augustus II, Elector of Saxony, King Augustus III of Poland, dating back to 1745.

Frederick-Augustus II, Elector of Saxony, King Augustus III of Poland, was the son of Augustus the Strong who founded the world-famous Meissen factory.

"From our extensive research, it is evident that the piece, an armorial chafing dish, cover and stand, was the personal gift from Queen Maria-Josepha to her husband to mark their silver wedding anniversary," Brian Haughton said. "Records show that the Queen gave explicit instruction for Meissen's pre-eminent designer, J.J. Kaendler, to be involved in its commission and design."

Redolent with symbolism, the unique positioning of specific flowers and cartouches painted on the armorial chafing dish depict the steady harmony and love shared in a marriage between royalty.

This carefully selected showpiece, to be displayed, gives us a clearer understanding of the artistic techniques and talent from the 18th century era and an insight to the lifestyle and domesticity of the royals making it invaluable to historians, art lovers and dealers.

"Antiques from different cultures of historical import will be displayed at the 'Arts & Antiques Dubai' fair," added Haughton. "The Middle East boasts a rich cultural heritage, and Haughton Fairs is keen to see regional pieces of significance on display at our Dubai event in February of next year."

The 'Art & Antiques Dubai' fair promises to offer exhibits of the same caliber and variety that make their annual international 'Art & Antiques' fairs such top class events.

For more than a quarter century, Brian and Anna Haughton have been in the forefront of the international art community being organizers of four of the world's top quality art fairs. Their vision has been to create "an international community of interest in art, antiques and design while combining commerce and academia to jointly promote appreciation of the fine and decorative arts."
