Emirates eyes new planes

Emirates is looking at purchasing up to 150 mid-size jets to add to its fleet, reported Gulf News. Brian Jeffery, Emirates' senior vice-president for Corporate Treasury, told an aviation finance conference yesterday that the airline is evaluating bids from Boeing and Airbus for the aircaft for possible delivery in 2014 and beyond. The aircraft being considered are the A350XWB and B787 Dreamliner.
