"We have proceeded with INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST, the preferred technology partner for the deployment of the WiMAX network, based on the company's proven track record in carrying out large scale projects in the region."

Mr. A. Manos, Managing Director of INTRACOM TELECOM, commented: "INTRACOM TELECOM, having been involved in the evolution of WiMAX since its very first steps, very early recognized its applicability and potential in the EEMEA region as a technology for the provisioning of advanced broadband services. Over the past few years, we have been investing both in developing technical expertise, as well as our service delivery capability in our region in order to be able to play a leading role in the deployment of the WiMAX technology and its full integration with the current and Next Generation Networks of our customers."
The execution of the project is conducted using cutting edge technologies provided by Cisco Systems for the ISP Network and Redline Communications for WiMAX access. Additionally, INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST integrates MTC's existing ÂSS/ÏSS system to support the new WiMAX services.
