H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, holding talks with R Damodar Reddy, Minister of Information Technology and Communications of the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, at the Al Dhait Palace in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday.
During the talks, both sides expressed their satisfaction on the fruitful cooperation that exists between UAE and India across various sectors and stressed their commitment to further expand business ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Andhra Pradesh which have gained much momentum in recent times.

Sheikh Saud said that fast- paced economic growth and reforms have made India an increasingly important economy in the global system.

"There is immense scope for greater trade, investment and technology cooperation between UAE and India as the two economies witness rapid growth and investments. Ras Al Khaimah- based firms already have strong business and industrial ties with India and there is growing presence of Indian companies who are setting up operations in RAK," Sheikh Saud added.

The Minister lauded the growing business partnerships between Ras Al Khaimah and Andhra Pradesh and hoped that investors and companies would avail of the opportunities available in Andhra Pradesh for technology, industrial and property investments.

"The business environment that we see in Ras Al Khaimah is outstanding and the emirate could very well become the gateway for Indian companies to the region," the Minister added.

Ras Al Khaimah- based RAK Ceramics operates a factory in Andhra Pradesh and Ras Al Khaimah had signed a MoU earlier this year for a joint venture with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for setting up an Alumina plant and Aluminium smelter in the southern Indian State.
