ADIB launches its new mobile Banking Service in Partnership with Etisalat

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has announced the launch of its new mobile banking service (123 Mobile Banking) in partnership with Etisalat, the UAE's leading mobile operator.

This new and innovative service allows ADIB customers to perform banking services from their mobile phones free of charge. Customers can access this new service by dialing *123# from any Etisalat mobile.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is proud to be the first Bank in UAE to embrace this technology USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) which allows customers to perform banking transactions and services via a menu driven user interface without the need to install or download any application to their mobile device.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Etisalat have collaborated to introduce a simplified mobile banking service in order to bring the benefits of this latest technology to customers for greater convenience.

"The launch of this unique service testifies to ADIB's strong commitment to the community by providing effective / innovative services to all our clientele. This service will enable ADIB customers to navigate among various financial transactions in addition to viewing their current balances 24/7," said Shihab Al Faheem Deputy head of Retail Banking at ADIB.

"The launch of this service is a great example of the service innovation that Etisalat has become known for in keeping with our tradition of being the first to provide such compelling value added services," said Abdulla Hashim, VP, Enterprise Solutions/ Etisalat. This is yet another milestone in our efforts to expand our mobile payments initiative which has seen Etisalat launching several innovative applications in the market."
