- PRESS RELEASE
In its continuing efforts to develop the healthcare sector, the Western Region Development Council (WRDC) met with senior officials from the Western Region Medical Zone (WRMZ) in Madinat Zayed to unveil the development plans for the region.
"Healthcare is one of our top priorities alongside education and infrastructure. The remoteness of the Western Region makes it a challenge to bring in the best health services to the remotest area of the Emirate. But by working closely with our partners, together we will succeed," said H.E. Mohamed Hamed Al Mazrouei, Director General, Western Region Development Council.
One of the major topics discussed during the meeting, is for WRDC is to work closely with the WRMZ to ensure that healthcare meets the national standards available in the country.
"We want to create a healthy and prosperous living and working environment in the Western Region and to do this, we need to provide the best standards of healthcare for all residents. It is important that we meet regularly with our main partners; the Western Region Medical Zone to ensure that both parties communicate any further development plans and updates for the sector. This allows us to work together more closely and meet our ultimate objective; better healthcare for the region," concluded Al Mazrouei.
