The UAE Ministry of Federal National Council Affairs (MSFNCA) organised a workshop on the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Programme, titled "Principles of Institutional Excellence and Quality" for its employees at the Al Raha Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

"The MSFNCA is committed to the development of its employees by offering training programmes to enhance their skills. The workshop is particularly relevant as it completes the Ministry's participation in the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Programme and aligns the employees to meet the criteria of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award," said Tariq Hilal Lootah, Secretary-General, MSFNCA.

Mr Mohammed Jasim Ibrahim, CEO of the Dubai Institute for Human Resource Development, congratulated the vision of His Excellency Dr Anwar Gargash and the initiatives undertaken by the Ministry to further develop human resources through workshops and training programmes.

Participants at the two-day workshop discussed the concept of quality, performance excellence and the best approaches to apply the principles of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Program. The Ministry was also briefed about the categories of the Programme and the requirements for the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award nomination.

The workshop was interactive, giving participants a forum to discuss the importance of applying principles of quality and excellence to their daily work with the aim of creating a positive and productive work environment. Applying these principles is essential as the Ministry is providing services to senior levels of the government sector including federal ministries and the Federal National Council (FNC.)

The workshop covered the major touch-points related to the development of quality concepts with a focus on customer service and the principles of continuing development and its effect on government performance. The institutional evaluation system known as (RADAR) and its objectives were also discussed in the session. The participants focused on finding a model that could be implemented in the ministries or provide support wherever needed.

The workshop reiterates the MSFNCA's commitment to creating a learning culture of quality and excellence and enhancing the performance of their employees. Above all, the workshop stressed the importance and role of each employee as an invaluable asset to the overall work of the Ministry.
