"We are pleased to support the Diplomatic Club this year on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. In the spirit of this occasion IBQ has planned a number of activities to make this year's Ramadan more special for our customers and the community at large," commented Muhannad Kamal, Deputy General Manager of IBQ.

IBQ's growing commitment to community activities, prompted the bank to take full part this Ramadan with a number of activities planned for its employees, clients, charity and members of the media throughout the holy month. Activities include the organization of a series of quiz competitions, bringing back the popular Ramadan tradition 'Fawazeer Ramadan' (Ramadan Riddles) for all tent guests, with the opportunity of winning some magnificent instant IBQ prizes.

A selection of employees at IBQ will also come together to provide a large number of children with Garangaou bags, in celebration of Garangaou night on the 14th day of Ramadan. Garangaou is a tradition closely followed in Gulf countries, where it is customary for children to dress up in traditional dress, chant Garangaou songs while knocking on neighbors' doors, who, in return, present the kids with nuts and candy.

IBQ has over the years, showed its dedication and support to education and community activities. By ensuring that important organisations such as the Doha Players, Terry Fox, among other community initiatives are well supported, IBQ continues to give back to the Qatari community.
