Offer light to charity this Ramadan at Wafi

For over one billion people throughout the world, Ramadan is a very special time of the year and this is also true at Wafi. The main feature of this year's campaign will be for you to offer a 'light of hope' for charity.

There will be an Oasis pool in the Mall where people can set adrift their personal fanoos and offer hope to an orphanage project in Dubai. Each evening Wafi will be bright with a floating sea of light providing a truly peaceful setting to reflect the ambiance and spirit of Ramadan.

There will also be a range of unique merchandise available, featuring work from award winning photographer Tim Flach. He is renowned for his animal photography and has produced some stunning images of camels and falcons for this campaign. There will also be prints available with all profits also being donated to charity.

The UAE Red Crescent Authority has been selected as the nominated charity for this project as it has a registry of needy people who are eligible for assistance, particularly during the holiest month of the Islamic calendar.

FREEJ, the most popular 3D animation cartoon series in the Middle East, will be shown in the Mall and there will be an opportunity for you to have your photograph taken with the lifesize models of the characters.

Wafi will also be celebrating the Ramadan spirit with Islamic arts, crafts and calligraphy demonstrations with traditional Arabic hospitality throughout the four week festival.
