Kingdom of Bahrain participates in ALUMINIUM CHINA 2007 - Shanghai

ALUMINIUM CHINA 2007 opened its doors to over 7,300 trade visitors and buyers from the aluminium industry and related sectors during its three-day run at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre commencing 28th August 2007.

The world's achievements in the aluminium industry were represented on the 20,000 square metres of ALUMINIUM CHINA 2007 which gathered an estimated 300 exhibitors from throughout the world. Whilst this year was the first time ever for Bahrain to be represented at ALUMINIUM CHINA, Bahraini companies met with buyers from the aluminium production and processing sectors and generated a number of enquiries and leads.

These shows are rapidly transforming themselves into ideal business service bases and technology centres for the Gulf region. The past exhibitions such as Aluminum Essen and Aluminum UK have opened new markets and opportunities for aluminum products manufactured in Bahrain. These markets were previously non-existent because our products were unfamiliar to other nations. The Ministry of Industry & Commerce has been the driving force behind the creation of a portfolio of inbound and outbound international trade shows and events that have been organized by the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) in recent years. Under the directives of the Kingdom of Bahrain's Ministry of Industry & Commerce (MOIC), the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) has been serving as the lead coordinator for the Bahrain Pavilion at specialised, business-to-business exhibitions and conferences. This activity is in line with the objectives of the MIOIC to promote the Kingdom's key industries throughout the world. At ALUMINIUM CHINA 2007, Bahraini companies including, Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) BSC, Gulf Aluminum Rolling Mill Company BSC and the Bramco Group and the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) joined about 300 exhibitors from all over the world. Bahrain's presence at the Shanghai trade show raised the profile of Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) BSC as one of the largest modern aluminium smelters in the world."
