Fast-moving products at Jacky's included notebooks such as Sony's pink and white Vaio editions, Dell's XPS series red colour laptops and HP's multimedia pavilion series.
Additionally, big screen LCD & Plasma TV's, the Nokia N-series collection and other feature-packed lifestyle devices also recorded high sales.
'Increasingly, consumers have begun opting for a combination of newer technologies that come in futuristic designs and this is exactly what we offered,' said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Group of Companies.
'We saw some very clear trends emerging this time which surprised even some of the top research companies that were at the event. We can probably expect them to not only start keeping track of sales trends by components that are inside a laptop but also by colours and design.
'While more medium to high-end digital and mobile devices sporting latest designs and trendy colours were sold out this year, high-definition LCD TVs, digital cameras and gaming consoles were popular as well.'
Shoppers opted for slim-designed digital cameras with larger LCD screens and integrated anti-shock, higher optical zoom, and face-capturing features. In the digital video camera category, demand for models with built-in hard-disk technology sky-rocketed.
'For the third time running, we are the number one retailer at GITEX Shopper. This would not have been possible without our dedicated sales and marketing team's commitment and more importantly customer loyalty to our brand,' added Panjabi.
'We look forward to breaking new records while constantly tracking consumer buying patterns to ensure our customers can choose from the best and state-of-the-art products on the market.'
Jacky's was also GITEX Shopper 2007's largest exhibitor with a record-breaking floor space of over 740 square metres. The retailer's presence in every hall at Dubai Airport Expo played a major role in its success.
