Global employees pass CFA exam at different levels

Global Investment House 'Global' congratulates its ten employees that passed the 'Certified Financial Analyst Exam' that was held this passed June on the grounds of the International Fairs in Mishref.
Mrs. Khawlah Al-Roumi-Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Administration at Global, commented that this certification and the recognitions of employees successfully completing this exam valuably contributes to upgrading the professional performance of the graduates, and supports the investment sector with the necessary advanced expertise.
The CFA program is mainly specified to fund analysts, fund managers, brokers, or individuals who have completed their undergraduate in any business major.
Furthermore, the CFA program is open to any individuals considering to switch their career path to the banking and finance industry and who have at least three to four years of work experience.
"Our sponsorship to Global employees of this certification stems from our recognition of the significance of education and information in upgrading the performance of the individual and the sector in general. The certificate also valuably contributes to enhancing the professional level of the graduate, and supports the investment sector with the necessary expertise needed for uplifting the operating standards of the investment companies to the international standards", said Al-Roumi.
In order to hold a CFA Charter, test takers should go through six-hour exams and pass the three different levels of the exam. Each level requires very advanced knowledge of the different financial tools and theories in order to be able to evaluate a client's investment needs and the ability to propose the best one for each different situation.
Mrs. Al-Roumi further mentioned that Global currently has seven certified financial analysts who hold the internationally accredited CFA certificate.
"We at Global encourage all employees and those interested in the investment sector to reinforce their experience with such a certificate that serves them both at the personal and practical level", she added.
"Global has sponsored the CFA examination for the last four years, and will continue its support and sponsorship of this examination in consistence with its commitment to developing the Kuwaiti investment market, as well as in line with its belief in the important role of the education in developing this market," Al-Roumi explained.
It is worth mentioning that Global is one of the largest investment companies in the Middle East, with around 426 staff members working in the different departments of the Company and its branches in Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
