Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi meets the Bulgarian Prime Minister

Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi the Chairman of Emirates Investment Group has met the Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and discussed the investment opportunities available in the two countries.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister has called for the activating of the economic and investment cooperation between the Bulgarian business community and the Emirates Investment Group, noting that current levels of cooperation between the two countries have been good and that they aspire to further reinforce the bilateral relations, especially in terms of the exchange of investment opportunities between businessmen in both countries.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister welcomed the interest shown by Emirates Investment Group to enter the Bulgarian market that has witnessed over Euro 4 billion poured into the market as direct foreign investment during the last year, where as the real estate sector accounted for 66% of these investments.
He also noted that Bulgaria has witnessed the inflow of 6.6 million tourists last year with a forecast to increase the figure over the next several years.
Sheikh Tariq Al Qassimi dwelled on the necessity to widen the investment channels between the GCC investors and their Bulgarian counterparts since the results can be mutually beneficial, adding that, economic and investment relations are witnessing a period of continuous improvement thanks to the policies adopted by both states and the growing rates of transparency and administrative competency. He also stated that both countries are aspiring to further improve their bilateral relations as the relationship between the Arab countries and Bulgaria has a deep rooted historic background.
