  • Jordan: Sunday, September 16 - 2007 at 13:42

Iraq will commence delivering discounted oil to Jordan this week, reported the AFP citing the Al Dustour daily. The agreement was reached in August last year, with Iraq intending to provide up to 30% of Jordan's daily requirement of 100,000 barrels of crude. Initially, 10,000 barrels per day will come from Iraq's Kirkuk oil hub and it was revealed in June that Jordan will pay $18 a barrel below market rates.
