The Campaign witnessed the participation of Dubai Customs employees that possess diving licenses. Dubai Customs staff worked for 6 hours in cooperation with divers from Dubai Police on retrieving wastes from the bottom of the harbor.

Organized for the second time, the cleaning campaign demonstrated the dedication of Dubai Customs to protect the welfare of the local community.

The Campaign also showed the volunteering initiatives of Dubai Customs employees and their willingness to participate in any social and environmental activities besides their duties in protecting the society from smugglers and counterfeit products.

The results of first diving campaign ,that was organized more than a year ago, were incredibly encouraging as the aquatic life in Port Rashid were restored to normal. Different species of fish and sea creatures returned to the sea bottom area that was cleaned from polluting materials and used tyres.

Dubai Customs had recently organized several social activities aiming at supporting the wellbeing and safety of the local society. These activities included helping the needy children.

The participating divers in the cleaning campaign of Port Rashid expressed their enthusiasm and showed their readiness to participate again in similar events aiming at serving the society and helping the environment in the UAE.
