Aimed to further strengthen its position as a total customs solutions provider to customs administrations around the world.
The announcement was made at a recent meeting between Hamad Mohamed Fadhel Al Mazrouie, CEO, DC World, and Abdul Qader Obeid Ali, Director of Internal Audit and Business Excellence Center (BEC).
The meeting was attended by section heads and managers from DC World and experts from BEC.
The strategic plan was outlined by Viswanathan Satish, Head of Strategic Planning and Performance at BEC, under the supervision of Noura Al Marzouqi, Planning and Administrative Excellence Manager, DC World.
The plan involves nine basic aspects, including the development of integrated solutions for business, advanced human resource policies, evaluation systems through customer feedbacks, and other innovative total development intitiatives.
Mr Al Mazrouie said: 'We are well aware of the challenges we are facing, especially after we entered the international markets. We have identified our priorities and mapped our course. The strategic plan is in line with our vision to become the best customs solutions provider, with a global customer base.'
On the occasion, Noura Al Marzouqi reinforced the fact that this five-year plan which has been set on flexible basis can be amended in accordance with the circumstances of each phase, and in line with the future developments and innovations in the international customs approach, without prejudice to the nine substantial points upon which this initiative is based.
Mr Obeid Ali said: 'DC World has come a long way since its inception, surpassing all expectations in its effort to build trust with the rest of the world. This strategic plan is an important milestone to show that DC World is poised to achieve distinguished performance, and that the certificates and awards it has obtained are an international acknowledgement of its excellence'.
DC World's five-year development plan is set on flexible fundamentals, providing room for amendments if required in the future, without compromising on the nine pillars on which it is built.
DC World launches strategic plan in cooperation with Business Excellence Center
Dubai Customs World, a subsidiary to Dubai World, has launched its strategic development plan for the next five years in cooperation with the Group's Business Excellence Center.
