Rolls Royce seeks Gulf market

Rolls Royce, the world's second largest aircraft engine manufacturer, has set its sights on substantial growth in the Gulf region, reported Khaleej Times. The UK-based company recently secured over $7bn in deals from Middle East airlines during the Paris Airshow, and subsequently announced $5.6bn and $480m worth of deals with Qatar Airways and ALAFCO respectively for the Trent XXWB engines. The company expects about 1,950 airplanes to be delivered to the region by 2027.
