The workshop introduced the scope of the system applications, its implementation model and management to finance and account managers representing various hotels in Abu Dhabi.

ADTA had conducted an introductory tour at the hotels in Abu Dhabi to explain the various facets of the law soon after its enactment. The initiative aimed at raising the level of services offered to tourists in line with the growth witnessed by the Abu Dhabi tourism sector in the last two years in the number of guests, rate of occupancy and expansion of hotel activities and services.

"The new system adopted by ADTA is a highly accurate and transparent mechanism that facilitates efficient communication between the authority and its partners," said Mr. Khalaf Obaid Al Matlaei, Finance Director, ADTA.

He stressed the importance of the system and its role in improving the financial performance and co-ordination between ADTA and its partners in the hotel sector, apart from facilitating electronic processes within the adopted framework.

Mr Matalaei said that the implementation of the new system helps easily generate various statistics and information useful to the hotel and tourism sector in general. ADTA plans to host more workshops to enable all partners in the hotel sector to efficiently use the new system.

The finance managers in Abu Dhabi hotels have welcome the new system for the many features it brings in. These include savings accrued in time and effort, transaction boosting and standardization of the financial contribution payment schedule. They highlighted the important role that the revenues system will play in enhancing relationships and transparency with ADTA, as a key effective partner in enabling Abu Dhabi tourism sector, and the emirate's hotel sector in particular.
