BP Lubricants partners trained in safety best practice
- Middle East: Wednesday, September 19 - 2007 at 13:39
- PRESS RELEASE
BP cascades global health and safety standards through series of training sessions aimed at raising safety awareness.
The training targetted managers from BP's signage supplier partners in Iran, Jordan, Kuwait and the UAE, and covered various areas including the risks associated with installing BP signage at oil changing outlets and oil shops. A one day workshop initially took place in Dubai, followed by a further two sessions in Kuwait.
"The intensive training raised awareness of the importance of implementing and upgrading safe practices at work. All BP suppliers must adhere to the BP principles on safety and we are committed to investing in our distributors and ensuring that standards are understood, met and maintained," said Reda Mohammad, BP HSSE Manager, Middle East & Iran.
BP will continue to roll out its supplier training programme across the region, which is mandatory for all signage partners who want to service the global oil giant, in order to achieve BP's ultimate goal of zero accident, zero harm to people and zero damage to the environment.
