Dubai Taxi launches hotline at hotels and restaurants

The Reservation and Distribution Section in Dubai Taxi of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently launched a reservation service through a hotline in a number of hotels and restaurants where a high demand for Dubai taxis is registered.
Abdul Aziz Malik, CEO of Dubai Taxi Agency emphasized that the Agency has always sought to keep pace with technical development in all areas, including telecommunication techniques to develop the mechanism of its work and give it more smoothness, speed and excellence to service the largest possible number of clients from residents, visitors and tourists.
Malik said: "Consistent with the recent developments in the world of telecommunications, Dubai Taxi Agency through rendering this service aims to ensure the continuation of providing taxi services to customers as soon as possible, which would undoubtedly develop this vital service in line with Dubai's position as a global economic and trading center."
He explained that the service conducted by the client request from the reception of a hotel or a restaurant management and they in turn contact the hotline number and enter the required room or table numbers, by telephone buttons without the need to speak to a customer service representative. The hotels or restaurants can reserve of more than one car at a time or even cancel the reservation.
Malik added that the service had been operated in one hotel for a month and marked a great success. Meanwhile, it is circulated in 14 hotels where 20 thousand reservations are made monthly at a rate of 1430 reservations a hotel and said that the experience would be spread to the rest of hotels Dubai in the next few weeks.
He reaffirmed that Dubai Taxi Agency is always keen to expand and develop its services through the use of the latest technology in this field to ensure the arrival of the car to the customer as soon as possible.
