Qatar eyes new Islamic channel

Qatar has begun development of a new Islamic satellite channel that will aim to offset the growth of religious channels that are believed to spread sectarian strife among Muslims, reported Gulf News. The Organisation of the Islamic Countries is promoting the initiative, which will focus on the true values of the religion rather than propagate division between Sunnis and Shiites.
