The event promises to be the best Ramadan & Eid Festival ever.
The 2007 Ramadan & Eid Festival is staged at ADNEC until October 13th. The event is being held in all 7 of ADNEC's exhibition halls - a total of more than 20,000 square metres of exhibition floor space. More than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend the show which is open daily from 8pm - 3am.
A spokesperson for ADNEC said: 'We would like to congratulate Al Multaqa, the organisers of this year's Ramadan & Eid festival for creating such a superb exhibition. ADNEC stopped organising exhibitions over a year ago so that we did not compete with other organisers. By doing this we have given the opportunity for quality national and international exhibition organisers to stage events in Abu Dhabi. This year's Ramadan & Eid Festival, organised by Al Multaqa, shows that this strategy is working.'
ADNEC recently began construction on Phase 2 of the exhibition centre, which will see the venue double in size to become the Middle East's largest purpose-built exhibition centre with inter-connected exhibition floor space totalling more than 55,000 square metres. The exhibition centre's distinctive U-shape design will be achieved by constructing 5 additional exhibition halls, a multi-purpose hall with seating for more than 5,000 people, 15 meeting rooms and two multi-storey car parks with space for more than 8,000 vehicles. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2008.
