RJ privatisation closer

A spokesperson for Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ) has said privatisation of the carrier should be completed by the end of the year, reported the Jordan Star. The Investment Unit at the Social Security Corporation has expressed an interest in acquiring shares. RJ's privatisation commenced in 1998 and up to 74% of the airline's shares are available, with the government retaining 26% and the right of veto at the company's general assembly.
