The new office has been established to provide a full range of consulting, operations management and project management support and services to multi-nationals locating in the region. The firm has also signalled its intention to extend its activities across Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa.

The move marks the increasing internationalisation of the business that set up in Doune, near Stirling 17 years ago, to provide facilities management expertise to organisations in the central belt of Scotland.

Speaking of the decision to open its first international office in Cairo, Key FM MD Stan Mitchell said:

'We see tremendous potential for facilities management services in the Egyptian market. By opening an office there we are signalling to the market that we are committed to the region and serious about building an international reputation.'

Today the firm is the longest established, independent, facilities management company in the UK, with a client list that includes blue chip companies such as Citi Group, Royal & Sun Alliance, Scottish Enterprise and Glaxo Smith Kline.
