It is worthy mentioning that Mr. Seetharaman has several professional qualifications as he is a chartered accountant and a cost accountant and he has certificates in Corporate Management and IT Systems and he obtained the Graduation Gold Medal. Moreover, he occupied top management positions in three banks in the Sultanate of Oman before joining Doha Bank in the post of Assistant General Manager.
Furthermore, Mr. Seetharaman was granted the Best Arab Asian Banker Award 2006 in the Arab Asian Forum held in Singapore on the margin of the IMF Annual Meeting. In the month of May 2007 he was granted the Best Banker Award for 2007 by Banker Middle East Magazine.
H.E. Sheikh Fahad Bin Mohammed Bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Doha Bank thanked H.E. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Mohammed Bin Jabor Al Thani, the Managing Director for filling the office of the Bank's CEO since the beginning of 2006 and for his special efforts during this period resulted in the Bank's achieving several awards, of which:
-2007 - Banker Middle East - Best Commercial Bank in the Middle East.
-2006 - Banker Middle East - Best Bank in the Middle East.
-2006 - The Banker - Bank of the Year for Qatar.
-2006 - Dresdner Bank - Best Bank in Trade Finance for Qatar.
-2006 - Middle East Institute for Specialty Awards - Specialty in E-Banking.
Doha Bank announces R. Seetharaman as new CEO
H.E. Sheikh Fahad Bin Mohammed Bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Doha Bank declared that the Bank's Board of Directors decided to appoint Mr. R. Seetharaman in the post of Chief Executive Officer for Doha Bank.
