International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Abu Dhabi) receives applications

The Organizing Committee of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (Abu Dhabi) prepares to receive the application forms of participations in the heritage competition of this session.

The exhibition, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club on 24th through 27th October at the new Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, is organized by the Emirates Falconers' Club in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage.

This year exhibition has original activities, namely competitions such as hybrid falcons, saluki's beauty, best Nabati poems on falconry, falcons' description, losing a falcon and hunting. There will be also competitions on inventions, painting, photography, best research on hunting and equestrian, which was very popular in the last two sessions.

Mr. Abdullah Al Qubaisi, member of the Exhibition's Organizing Committee and Director of Exhibitions at Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, said that the exhibition will be different this year in terms of competitions and heritage activities. Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage will display a realistic live image of the old Abu Dhabi souk (marketplace) at its pavilion. The old souk was very crowded and full of life. It comprises coffee houses and shops of textile, perfume, traditional weapons, daggers, handicrafts, music instruments and so on.
