More petrol for Iranians

Motorists in Iran are to be allowed to buy an extra one-off allocation of 100 litres of petrol, in addition to their regular monthly ration of 100 litres, reported Reuters. Iran introduced petrol rationing earlier this year in a bid to control import levels. But motorists have complained the quotas are not sufficient for their needs; the extra petrol must be used by the end of the Iranian year in March.
