Amlak to buy back shares

Dubai's Amlak Finance has said it has applied for permission to buy back 5% of its shares listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM). The Islamic mortgage provider has notified the DFM that it intends to buy back shares and it has sought clearance from the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority. It was reported here earlier this month that Amlak was considering buying back stock following a 40% share price slump.
