Pakistan seeks Iran power

Pakistan is to import an extra 100 megawatts of electricity from Iran, reported the Iran Daily. Pakistan will import the electricity at Gwadar, next to the Iranian border, and will set up 100 kilometres of power lines as part of the $59m project. The Export Development Bank of Iran will provide 85% of the required finance; the project should take about 36 months to complete.
