UAE to cut oil output

The UAE will trim oil output by around 600,000 barrels per day in November due to maintenance work at three oilfields, reported AFP. The state-run Abu Dhabi National Oil Company said a scheduled essential maintenance programme will take place at three offshore fields - Upper Zakum, Lower Zakum and Umm Shaif. No time frame was given for how long the work will last but the company said it had taken steps to meet its commitments.
